Most anti-fatigue kitchen mats are plain rectangles. This pair has a wavy scalloped border and a raised quatrefoil pattern, so it looks more like a rug than a work mat while doing the same job. Each mat is 0.4 inches of cushioned PVC, which takes pressure off feet, knees and lower back when you stand at the counter for a long stretch. The surface is waterproof, so spills, sauce and grease sit on top and wipe away with a damp cloth; there is no fabric to stain or put through the wash. A non-slip backing helps hold the mats in place.
