Best for: Hands-off vacuuming and mopping in a home with mostly hard floors
Our take
This is a robot built around its dock. After a run, the base station empties the dustbin into a 3.2-liter bag, which MOVA says can go up to 100 days between changes, washes the two spinning mop pads with water heated to as much as 212°F, and then dries them with hot air in about an hour so they do not sit damp and smelly. Clean and dirty water live in 4.5-liter and 4-liter tanks, so on most days your only job is topping up one and emptying the other. On the floor, MOVA rates suction at 26,000 Pa, the mop pads press down with 12 N of force, and one pad extends outward to reach along baseboards and into corners. A rubber main brush, side brush and front wheel are all designed to resist hair tangles, which matters with pets or long hair. The trade-offs are the ones common to every all-in-one dock: the station is tall and needs a permanent spot near an outlet, dust bags and mop pads are ongoing costs, and tanks still need a rinse now and then. MOVA is a newer brand with a shorter track record than the best-known robot makers, and at 4.1 stars the Amazon reviews are more mixed than for the category leaders.
